How to do the Dental implant percussion test?
Take a mouth mirror and use the back end to tap the implant abutment in vertical direction.
A nice high pitched metallic sound will indicate adequate primary stability.The dental implants in the maxilla will have more reasonance ..due to the proximity of nasal cavity and maxillary sinus.
